WEST WINDSOR

A West Windsor South senior critically injured Monday March 3, 2008 on Princeton- Hightstown Rd. in West Windsor Township. Christopher Dittrich, 18 was traveling eastbound on Rt. 571 when he lost control of the Toyota Scion he was driving. The car veered across the two west bound lanes and crashed into a stand of trees. snapping one in half before coming to a rest at the edge of a field several feet below the grade of the roadway.

Rescue units from West Windsor Township responded to the scene and cut the injured student from the mangled wreck. He was then rushed to the trauma unit at Capitol Health System's Fuld campus in Trenton.

West Windsor-Plainsboro School Superintend ant, Victoria Kniewel said, "our thoughts are with the Dittrich family at this time." Will Aanlowitz, West Windsor council president called for a moment of silence for the injure student.
